Under the the theme ‘The Next 250: Stronger Together’, the 2026 forum explored the future of the US-Ireland economic relationship at a pivotal moment for both nations.
The roundtable discussions will considered how the transatlantic partnership can evolve to deliver sustained growth, resilience and shared prosperity over the next generation as the US marks 250 years since independence.
Among the notable attendees are Minster for Enterprise, Tourism and Employment Peter Burke, US Congressman Mike Lawler, Keychain founder Oisin Hanrahan, Intuition CEO Sarah Clarke, Pfizer Ireland president Deb Mangone and Blue Owl Group president Colin Crowell.
The participants will examine the geopolitical and economic foundations of the US-Ireland relationship, identifying priorities for strategic realignment in an increasingly contested global environment.
Discussion then turned to the next phase of transatlantic investment, with Ireland holding its position as the fifth-largest foreign direct investor into the United States. The forum closed with each participant committing to a single, concrete action to strengthen bilateral ties.
“It is a privilege to join Ireland Day at the New York Stock Exchange – a landmark event in our global St Patrick’s Day and a moment to celebrate Irish business and economic success,” said Burke.
“Ireland and the US have a remarkable economic relationship, now valued at over one trillion dollars. It is a partnership that delivers for both countries, driving prosperity on every Irish county and in every American state.
“Today, over 200,000 Americans will go to work at Irish companies. Ireland and the US have deep bilateral relations, built on centuries of transatlantic exchange. That is a strong foundation for our modern, dynamic relationship, which I know will continue to go from strength to strength into the future.”
Ian Hyland, founder and president of Ireland INC, said: “The Ireland Day Leadership Forum at the New York Stock Exchange communicates the strongest bond between Ireland and the United States, Economics and Business.
