RSA Insurance has rebranded as Intact Insurance in the UK, Ireland and Europe.

With the transition, Canadian parent group Intact Financial Corporation (IFC) is seeking to unite its companies under a single global brand that reflects “a shared purpose, values, and bold growth ambitions.”

IFC is the largest provider of property and casualty insurance in Canada as well as a leading specialty lines insurer with international expertise, and a leader in commercial lines in the UK and Ireland.

It has grown organically and through acquisition to almost CAD$24bn (€14.8bn) of total annual direct premiums written, with a team of 31,000 employees.

The rebrand marks a pivotal moment for our Irish business and the Irish insurance market,” said Kevin Thompson, CEO of Intact Insurance Ireland.

“As Intact Insurance, we are bringing together deep local knowledge and global expertise to deliver a more connected and easy experience for our customers and brokers in Commercial and Personal Lines.

“This is more than a change of symbol and name.  It’s a powerful statement of who we are, purpose and values driven, with a strengthened ability to help people, businesses and society prosper in good times and be resilient in bad times.”
