Identify verification and authentication technology company Prove is investing $5m to expand its R&D hub in Dublin and create 50 jobs.
The investment is intended to reinforce Ireland’s role as a central hub for the company’s product development, culture and international growth.
The recruitment effort is expected to strengthen Prove’s ability to deliver faster, safer and more frictionless digital identity experience for businesses and consumers worldwide.
More than 2.2bn digital identities have been compromised globally since January 2022, forcing companies to rethink how they combat fraud at scale.
New roles will be filled across product, software engineering, research and development and data science.
Prove established its Irish operations in 2022 and has grown its local headcount by 50% in the past six months alone.
Over the past year, staff in Ireland have played a critical role in the rapid acceleration and innovation at Prove, during which time the company launched new solutions.
They include Prove Unified Authentication, ProveX and Prove Verified Agent, alongside platform elements such as the Global Fraud Policy and the Prove Identity Graph.
Prove’s technology is used by thousands of enterprises globally, including top banks, fintechs and global brands across industries such as crypto, gaming, commerce, insurance, and healthcare.
“The growth of our Ireland team has been an important chapter in Prove’s journey,” said Laura Brittingham, senior vice president of people at Prove.
“The talent we’ve found there brings deep technical expertise and a collaborative, innovative and dependable spirit that has led to an outsized impact at Prove. There is no version of Prove’s future that doesn’t include Ireland at its centre.”
Prove’s expansion in Ireland is supported by the government and IDA Ireland, and Minister for Enterprise, Tourism and Employment Peter Burke welcomed the news.
