5 Star Magic Clip Precision Fade Clipper
Ok, so you probably aren’t using this one on yourself, but if you’re doing haircuts at home (perhaps your partner is cutting your hair), you need a real clipper. This corded option from Wahl has a phenomenal barbershop style to it that we really don’t think can be beat. In terms of function, it’s pretty standard, including a number of cutting guides and a blade guard.
Alternatively, if it’s time to rock the bald look (no shame in it), you’re in the market for a head shaver to get that dome pristine. This palm-sized shaver has five rotary blades working in tandem to get that skull shaved close as can be.

Face
I won’t belabor the point here. You either already have a traditional razor brand you like or you use an electric. If you’re opting for cartridge razors, our grooming experts frequently recommend Harry’s. For fully shaving your chest or back, though, the OneBlade won’t do. Anything aimed at the face is too wimpy. You need something like this body trimmer, much closer to an electric razor than a beard trimmer with just a tiny bit more oomph for the thicker patches.
This one has a light and a flexible contouring head for getting clean coverage on tricky angles. In addition to the shaving head, it comes with a trimming head, and guide combs meant for every part of the body. It also has an extendable attachment that helps you reach your back. We cant’ say we see that level of ingenuity too often.
