Mercedes-Benz Ireland has renewed its partnership with RTÉ as the official car partner of The Traitors Ireland, with the luxury car brand set to feature prominently throughout the second season of the hit reality series later this year.

As part of the sponsorship agreement, six graphite grey Mercedes-Benz GLC SUVs were used throughout filming at Slane Castle in Co Meath, transporting contestants to and from missions during the psychological competition.

The deal, brokered by Core Sponsorship, will see the vehicles appear in every episode of the new series, with the SUVs forming part of the programme’s on-screen storytelling as contestants travel between challenges and privately discuss strategies in the back seats.

The renewal follows the success of the first season, which became one of RTɑs biggest entertainment programmes and helped drive strong audience engagement for the broadcaster and its commercial partners.

Stephanie Bell, Head of Marketing at Mercedes-Benz Ireland, said the company was pleased to continue the collaboration.

“We are delighted to continue our partnership with The Traitors Ireland as the show’s official car partner for a second year.

“Building on the success of our first season together, this collaboration continues to reflect Mercedes-Benz Ireland’s commitment to delivering unparalleled luxury, performance, and an exceptional brand experience.”

She added that the partnership provides an opportunity to align the premium automotive brand with one of Ireland’s most popular television programmes.

“It is especially rewarding to see the Mercedes-Benz star remain part of a programme that has captured audiences across Ireland.”

Alex Culligan, Head of Media Sponsorship at Core Sponsorship, said the integration of the vehicles into the series created an authentic connection between the brand and viewers.

“The natural integration of the Mercedes-Benz GLC into the show creates a distinctive sponsorship that feels authentic to both the brand and the viewing experience.

“It is a great example of how the right partnership can create value for brands by seamlessly connecting them with audiences through premium entertainment.”

RTÉ Sponsorship Manager for Video and Digital Ruth Kennedy said the broadcaster was looking forward to building on the success of the first series.

“We are thrilled to welcome Mercedes-Benz Ireland back as official car partner of The Traitors Ireland.

“Building on the phenomenal success of the first season, the Mercedes-Benz GLC SUVs will once again transport contestants to and from missions, playing a central role in the journey as the drama, strategy and unexpected twists unfold.”
