Brooklyn Beckham has inspired no shortage of unexpected headlines this year—most recently for his deeply upsetting all-chicken protein-pizza recipe. But this time it’s his watches that have piqued our interest.

During his appearances at the Venice Film Festival this weekend, Beckham was spotted wearing two heavyweight names in luxury watchmaking: Patek Philippe and Rolex.

First up is his Patek Philippe Nautilus 5711/1R-001, an especially collectible version of one of Patek’s most recognizable watches. The 40mm case and integrated bracelet are made from 18k rose gold, while the dial has the distinctive gray-to-brown gradient associated with the reference. Inside is Patek Philippe’s automatic caliber 324 S C movement, with around 45 hours of power reserve.

The reference was discontinued in 2021, making it an increasingly sought-after piece on the secondary market. Current estimates put Beckham’s particular watch around $200,000, although valuations vary.

There’s also a family story attached to the watch. Beckham previously told Esquire that his father, David Beckham, gave him the Patek for his 21st birthday. He called it his favorite watch and said the gift was what turned him into a proper “watch guy.”

And the Patek wasn’t the only serious piece on his wrist.

He was also seen wearing a Rolex Day-Date 40 in 18k white gold, a watch that currently retails for $54,200. The particular configuration features a 40mm case, a fluted bezel, a black dial, and Rolex’s unmistakable President bracelet.

The Day-Date has been a Rolex icon since its introduction in 1956, when it became the first wristwatch to display the day of the week written out in full, alongside the date. Its President bracelet, created specifically for the Day-Date, has since become almost as recognizable as the watch itself.

Inside the modern Day-Date 40 is Rolex’s caliber 3255 automatic movement, with approximately 70 hours of power reserve. It is also a Superlative Chronometer, with Rolex claiming precision of ±2 seconds per day after casing.

Put the two together and Beckham was sporting around a quarter of a million dollars’ worth of watches. Not too shabby.
