Fashion month is nearly coming to an end, but I’m still thinking about London Fashion Week: the emerging designers, the British heritage brands, the trends.

This season, British Fashion Council CEO Laura Weir made sure the week was packed with excitement. Of course, the calendar was anchored with Burberry—a U.K. stalwart—but the city’s fashion history was also on display with McQueen, which returned to its London birthplace, and Mulberry, which came back to the runway with a revamp brought to us by the legendary British designer Christopher Kane.

At the same time, London has always celebrated new and emerging talent, and this season was no different. The breakout star of Fashion East’s runway collective this time was Goyagoma, designed by TraiCeline Pratt, who learned his stuff working on Phoebe Philo’s team. Insiders were also talking about A Letter, which came back to the calendar with a neon-tinged collection that was hard to miss, and Talia Byre, whose catwalk was full of the stripes that she always does so well.

This season was a reminder that London moves to the beat of its own drum. At Erdem and Richard Quinn, I was reminded that nobody does glamour quite like the Brits. But there’s also an originality to the way British designers express kitsch and fantasy, as seen at Simone Rocha and Chopova Lowena. What ties it all together is the hunger for fashion outside of the four walls of the shows. It’s a city where the cool kids are still trying to sneak into fashion shows, and there’s a special charm to that.

There was also a new crowd, thanks to Weir. Now in her third season as the CEO of the British Fashion Council, she really made her mark with social media critics, more buyers, and a curated group of editors—all of whom resonate with the British market.

Between the calendar’s 47 catwalk shows, 23 presentations, and 53 evening events, I was inundated with inspiration. Below, I’ve broken down the best trends from London Fashion Week, shopping them out so that you can get the look now.

The Vibe: Glamorous Divas

Robes! Oversized sunglasses! Brooches! Spring 2027 will be all about leaning into glamour in the most extravagant way. Dress up a tailored suit with a statement clutch for a cocktail party, or throw a floral jacket over a paillette dress to give an edge to a night-on-the-town look. Or, if you really want to pile on the opulence, try a boa over just about anything.

The Hero: Bras

This season, bras are the new tops. Whether it’s worn as a layering piece under a sheer dress or paired with a matching pencil skirt, it’s safe to say the bra will be popping up everywhere. Pratt, the designer behind Goyagoma, told me that his version of the look was inspired by his mom rushing half-dressed into his childhood bedroom to wake him and his brother up for school. The contrast of the tailored pant and the sweater is what makes it work.

The Mood: Mixing & Clashing

Fashion showcase featuring diverse clothing styles and designs on models.

Launchmetrics Spotlight

Designers in London are never afraid to make a statement, and this season, I saw power-clashing all over the place. Classic silhouettes were updated with mix-and-match materials, like beaded florals with a striped ribbed top. For an update to your workwear, try a utility floral jacket with a layered pencil skirt. Or, if you’re looking for an easier way to ease into the trend, pair a patchwork sweater with some simple white jeans.

The Look: New Tuxedos

Fashion models showcasing contemporary designs on runways, featuring a variety of styles and silhouettes.

Tuxedo elements appeared throughout the runways. Tuxedo jackets were styled over sheer dresses or feathers for a decadent look. Elegant satin sashes were wrapped around waists, and tops nipped in at the bottom with built-in cummerbunds. I love tapping into this trend at the office: Try a cummerbund over a dress or tailored pants, or a tuxedo shirt with a built-in necktie with a pair of colorful jeans.

The Print: Updated Stripes

Fashion collection featuring diverse models in vibrant striped outfits and contemporary styles.

This season, stripes came in all shapes and sizes. Burberry even showed the kind of striped fabric you’d find in a jacket lining, worn patchworked into a top. I was inspired by all the striped pants in denim and balloon silhouettes; they would make any fall sweater or vintage T-shirt look that much cooler.

The Style: Layering

This season, randomized layering felt so wrong that it was right. Whether you throw a sparkly camisole over a white T-shirt with jeans or wear a skirt over pants, the goal is to make it feel organic. This season, a pre-layered sweater or hoodie can give your office look new dimensions when paired with a sleek pencil skirt, and a pair of leggings or slim pants with a peplum can go from day to night when worn with a sharp blazer jacket.

The Color: Neon

Punchy colors offered hints of joy throughout the runways this season—there was an unbeatable energy to the palette this season. Whether you wear a full neon dress or incorporate a pop of brightness within a more neutral look, it’s a fun way to make a statement while commuting to work on gloomier days.

The New Classic: British Heritage With a Twist

Fashion models showcasing various contemporary outfits on a runway and in studio settings.

This season, designers remixed classic British heritage staples in new silhouettes. From plaid PVC raincoats with white shirting and matching tailored pants to directional trench coat silhouettes, the principles that make up the classics in London were given new life with fresh textures and styling.
