And just wait till you hear who she roped in to complete the look… LEARN MORE
When it comes to dressing up for Halloween, Kendall Jenner loves a fashion moment. We’ve seen her transform into everyone and everything from a bedazzled Karl Lagerfeld (2015) to a feathery Victoria’s Secret angel (2018) to a golden couture fairy princess, crowned with a custom Rinaldy a Yunardi headpiece (2019). In more recent years, she’s turned her attention to films, giving her best interpretations of Pamela Anderson in 1996’s Barb Wire (2020), the Martian Girl from Tim Burton’s 1996 sci-fi Mars Attacks! (2021), and Jessie from Toy Story (2022). Teaming up with her sister Kylie, she channeled 1995’s Batman Forever in 2023 and The Lizzie McGuire Movie in 2024.
This year, she combined her love for fashion and film with a reference to the 1984 neo-Western road drama, Paris, Texas. Directed by Wim Wenders and written by Sam Shepard, the project followed Travis (Harry Dean Stanton), who emerged from the Texas desert after four years away to try to rectify his relationships with his brother, child, and ex-wife Jane. It won the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival, and has since become a cult favorite—beloved for its strange characters, raw color palettes, and eerily desolate portrayal of old Americana, as well as for that fuzzy pink boatneck sweater worn by Jane (Nastassja Kinski) during one of the movie’s most pivotal scenes.
It was this very sweater that captured Jenner’s particular attention some 42 years later. In photos shared to her Instagram, the model posed in a hot-pink, low-back minidress with the same silhouette, giving her best rendition of the recognizable character. She even tucked her brown hair into a realistic blonde wig, cut to a bob in classic Jane fashion, and had her boyfriend, Jacob Elordi, dress as Travis.
Jenner wore the look to her birthday-slash-Halloween party, where she was joined by the likes of Charli XCX, Tate McRae, and Alex Consani.
