On Thursday evening, Keira Knightley and the cast of The Lives of Others celebrated the official opening night of their West End production, joined by family, friends, and colleagues at London’s Adelphi Theater for a special performance. And afterwards, they took things to Brasserie Zedel for a sparkling after party.
Following her final bow, Knightley got ready for the night ahead by changing into a striking two-piece set from Erdem’s Spring/Summer 2027 collection: a cropped V-neck sweater and long ballgown skirt. The knitwear, a dark-gray piece that put an elevated, regal twist on a cozy fall basic, was designed with long sleeves, a fitted silhouette, and a sculptural scalloped hem that was trimmed with crystal appliqués.
The beading effortlessly merged into the embroidery on the semi-sheer tulle skirt, creating a fluid ensemble that, at first glance, could easily read as a singular dress.
The Oscar-winning actor wore the runway fit with Roger Vivier’s “I Love Polka Dot” slingbacks—black mesh pumps with a heart-shaped edge and velvet polka dot detailing. She was joined by her husband, James Righton, who wore a classic navy pinstripe suit over a blue dress shirt.
Adapted for stage from Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck’s Oscar-winning 2006 film, The Lives of Others follows a writer and an actor placed under state surveillance in 1984 East Germany. Olivier Award-winner Robert Icke’s production, which runs until early January, stars Knightley alongside Emmy Award-winner Stephen Dillane (Game of Thrones, The Tunnel, Vigil) and Olivier Award-nominee Luke Thompson (Bridgerton, Dunkirk, Oresteia).
