Boots has opened a new store in Scotch Hall Shopping Centre in Drogheda, creating more than 40 jobs as it expands its presence in the town.
The new ground-floor outlet is the retailer’s second Drogheda location, adding to its existing store at Laurence Shopping Centre.
The store includes a pharmacy offering prescription services, health advice and vaccinations, alongside a range of healthcare, beauty and wellness products.
Customers will also be able to manage prescriptions and book healthcare appointments, including flu vaccinations, through the Boots app.
Stephen Watkins, Managing Director of Boots Ireland, described the opening as “a really exciting investment for Boots Ireland”.
“We’re opening a fantastic new store, creating more than 40 local jobs and bringing an exceptional Boots offer to the heart of Drogheda,” he said.
“What excites me most is just how much we can offer customers and patients under one roof, from trusted pharmacy care and healthcare advice to some of the most sought-after names in beauty and wellness.”
Watkins said Boots was committed to further expanding its Irish business.
