Convenience retailer Circle K has expanded its cold drinks range across Ireland with the launch of a new functional soft drink, Fizzique, now available in stores nationwide.

Fizzique, a fibre-infused sparkling soda, is being positioned as a “next-generation” soft drink aimed at health-conscious consumers.

The product is low in sugar and calories, made with natural juices and flavourings, and fortified with magnesium and vitamin D.

It has been co-created by Irish wellness brand SiSú and boxing champion Katie Taylor, reflecting a growing trend towards functional beverages that offer added nutritional benefits.

The launch comes as warmer weather drives increased demand for chilled drinks, prompting Circle K to broaden its offering ahead of the busy summer period.

The retailer said the expansion reflects changing consumer preferences, with growing interest in drinks that support hydration, energy and overall wellbeing.

Functional beverages, particularly those containing prebiotics, vitamins and minerals, are seeing strong growth globally and in Ireland. Circle K noted that demand is also being shaped by wider health trends, including interest in immunity-supporting products and natural energy alternatives.

In addition to Fizzique, the company has introduced new variants from Vitamin Well, including Reload Lemon & Lime, Recover Elderflower Peach, Hydrate Rhubarb Strawberry and Elevate Pineapple Wild Strawberry.

These join existing options such as Volvic Vitamin+ Raspberry Recharge and Peach Active.

The retailer has also expanded its electrolyte and hydration range, adding Electrowave drinks in berry, peach and watermelon flavours, alongside Now Coco 100% Pure Coconut Water.

Speaking about the launch, Taylor said the aim behind Fizzique was to offer “a refreshing option that fits into how people are living today”.

“From the start, we wanted Fizzique to challenge what people expect from a soft drink,” Taylor said.

“It’s about offering something different – a refreshing option that fits into how people are living today.

“I’m really proud of what we’ve created, and it’s great to see it now available in Circle K stores across Ireland.”
