If the discourse surrounding Olivia Rodrigo’s babydoll dresses discouraged anyone from wearing them all summer long, it certainly wasn’t Daisy Edgar-Jones. The actor, who has been slowly starting promo for Georgia Oakley’s upcoming adaptation of Sense and Sensibility, just shared some dreamy garden photos in an Alexander McQueen take on the silhouette.

Styled by Dani Michelle, the minidress came straight from the McQueen Fall 2026 collection—with its runway shoes and all. The piece featured a pleated empire waist and full miniskirt, with a black-and-white floral pattern throughout. For a balance of romantic femininity and the silhouette’s punk roots, little puff sleeves were contrasted with a thick chain, attached directly to the shoulders for a built-in necklace.

The heels, also in black and white, reflected this same medley. Crafted with a pointed toe, they saw a lace-up bow paired with studded trim.

For Edgar-Jones’s hair, Hyungsun Ju gave the long brown locks a slept-in feel, adding life to the whimsical fairy-playing-in-the-garden look of the images. Makeup artist Nikki Wolff (known professionally as Nikki Makeup) added pink blush and thick lashes to the equation, making the Normal People star’s complexion look flushed and rosy.

Oakley’s Sense and Sensibility will hit theaters in the United Kingdom on September 25, before debuting in the United States on October 16. Edgar-Jones, who portrays Jane Austen’s Elinor Dashwood in the film adaptation, previously took to Instagram to share her love for the project, writing, “This story, this cast, and this experience have meant so much to me.”
