Daredevil’s Epic Comeback: Matt Murdock’s Darkest Fight Yet in Season 3 Will Blow Your Mind!
You ever get that feeling when something you thought was gone for good suddenly struts back into your life—stronger, bolder, and packing some serious heat? That’s exactly where we’re at with Matt Murdock, our favorite blind superhero aka Daredevil. After the Netflix days, many of us kinda resigned ourselves to never seeing Charlie Cox don that iconic red suit again. But nope, the fans made their voices heard loud and clear—this wasn’t just any Daredevil; this was their Man Without Fear. Fast forward through some epic cameos across the Marvel-verse, and now, with two seasons of Daredevil: Born Again under our belts, the saga’s far from over. Sure, the show has evolved—it’s darker, more grown-up, and tackling adult themes that hit hard—but it keeps bringing that mix of grit and heart we crave. So what’s next for our street-level crusader? And more importantly, when can we expect him back on our screens, hawking justice and throwing punches? Hang tight, ‘cause I’ve got the lowdown for you. LEARN MORE
WE SHOULD CHERISH times like this. After the original three seasons of Netflix-produced Daredevil, it felt possible that we wouldn’t see Matt Murdock/Daredevil(Charlie Cox) ever again. But the fans of the show made it known that this was their Daredevil. Their Man Without Fear wouldn’t be rebooted or recast—Charlie Cox did a great job for three seasons of television, and it could be done again.
And so he appeared in Spider-Man: No Way Home. And then he appeared in She-Hulk: Attorney At Law, and Echo. And now, after two successful seasons of Daredevil: Born Again, we’ll keep seeing Matt both in court and taking on bad guys in the streets for the near future, as well. Born Again hasn’t been exactly the same as the Netflix series, but it’s managed to bring stars Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio (Kingpin) together for stories that are often as compelling as they are timely. Marvel Studios has brightly decided to lean into adult themes with Born Again, and whether that’s a heartbreaking death or the exploration of a complex villain/anti-hero like Bullseye (Wilson Bethel), it’s been a fun ride.
And now, with Born Again’s second season complete, we’re wondering when our favorite blind superhero will return.
Good news: It probably won’t be too long.
Will Daredevil: Born Again get a season 3?
Yes! Daredevil: Born Again was officially renewed for season 3 way back in September of 2025.
That’s particularly good news because it’s meant that the Born Again team has been able to get ahead of things. As a result, season 3 has already been filming. And, well, there are some major friends involved.
As you can see in the image above, not only was Krysten Ritter (who plays Jessica Jones) spotted on location shooting season 3 in New York City, but Mike Colter (who plays Luke Cage) and Finn Jones (who plays Iron Fist) were there as well. Season 3 is looking like a full on reunion of The Defenders, which we haven’t seen since these shows were airing on Netflix.
When will Daredevil: Born Again season 3 debut on Disney+?
An official release date for Daredevil: Born Again season 3 hasn’t yet been revealed, but we can expect it to release around March 2027, just like the first two seasons of Born Again did.
Stay tuned next week for The Punisher: One Last Kill, though…
If you’re already feeling withdrawal from the loss of our street-level Marvel friends on a weekly basis, there’s some good news: The Punisher: One Last Kill hits Disney+ next week, on Tuesday, May 12. The “Special Presentation” will be an hour-long special starring Jon Bernthal once again as Frank Castle/The Punisher. He’s also a co-writer on the project, so you know it’s something he really believes in.
