Dingle Distillery Breaks 13-Year Silence with a Bold Bottle Redesign That Could Shake the Spirits Market Forever—Are You Ready to Invest in the Future of Whiskey?

Ever wonder what it takes for a family-run spirits distillery to reinvent itself without losing the magic that earned it global acclaim? Dingle Distillery, nestled in the raw beauty of Kerry’s coastline, just pulled off a slick move that’s got both longtime fans and curious newcomers buzzing. After more than a decade rocking the same iconic bottle for their award-winning gin, they decided it was time to give the packaging a fresh spin—without messing with the legendary taste that snagged the World’s Best Gin title back in 2019. Oh, and if that wasn’t enough, they threw in a brand-new gin expression featuring local orange and sea salt for a bold twist on tradition. It’s a savvy blend of heritage and innovation, a lesson any entrepreneur can take notes from when evolving a beloved brand. Curious to see how tradition meets fresh creativity in a bottle? Dingle Distillery, the family-run independent spirits producer, has unveiled a new bottle for Dingle Gin in what is its first redesign since opening in 2012.

The Kerry drinks company has also introduced a new look for Dingle Vodka and launched Dingle Gin Orange & Sea Salt, its first major new gin expression for years.

Dingle Distiller won World’s Best Gin at the 2019 World Gin Awards, and the gin — made with local Dingle Peninsula botanicals, including rowan berry, angelica root, hawthorn and heather — remains the same despite the bottle redesign.

The new desgin drew inspiration from the rugged Atlantic landscape and contemporary spirit of the Dingle Peninsula but retains the recognisable character of the original while bringing a more refined and confident identity to the range.

“Thirteen years ago we launched a gin and put it in a bottle that became part of who we are. As the distillery evolved, we felt the bottle should evolve with it,” said Elliot Hughes, managing director of Dingle Distillery.

“The liquid hasn’t changed, it’s still the same Irish spirit people know and love globally, but now the design better reflects the quality, character, and place behind it.”

Dingle Gin Orange & Sea Salt builds on the distillery’s original award-winning botanical recipe and introduces two ingredients, orange and West of Dingle sea Salt, chosen for both flavour and provenance.

Like Dingle Gin, Dingle Gin Orange & Sea Salt retails for €38 per bottle and is available nationwide at off-licences and supermarkets, including O’Brien’s, SuperValu, Dunnes, Tesco, and the Celtic Whiskey Shop.
