Last night was the fifth annual edition of the Gold Gala, and among the actors, artists, and entrepreneurs who walked the gold carpet was the one-and-only EJAE.

The K-Pop Demon Hunters star worked with LEJE for the occasion. Rooted in Korean craftsmanship, the house was founded with a focus on both traditional and contemporary design, merging the two to craft one-of-a-kind artisanal pieces. For EJAE, the designer dreamed up a strapless baby-blue gown with an exaggerated basque-waist silhouette and mermaid skirt.

Embellished onto the dress, more than 1,000 pieces of mother-of-pearl created a shimmering mosaic of peonies, wrapping around the skirt as if floating through the spring sky.

Ejae was honored as part of the Gold House’s Gold100, a collective of award-winning Asian and Pacific Islander creatives, athletes, and business professionals who have driven global change throughout the year. Alongside her co-writer, Mark Sonnenblick, fellow vocalists Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami, and producers Teddy Park, 24, and Ido, she was recognized for her history-making work on K-Pop Demon Hunters’s “Golden.” The song earned the first major Grammy win for a K-pop piece, marking its power as a bridge between the K-pop industry and broader global scene.
