Talk about a party look. Last night, Hailey Bieber stepped out in a mesmerizing example high-low dressing—making the case that, when done right, a pair of faded blue jeans deserves a prime spot in night-out fashion.
Styled by Dani Michelle, the model stole the spotlight in a glittery, iridescent jacket from Matthieu Blazy’s Fall 2026 collection for Chanel. Putting an aluminum chainmail twist on the house’s signature tweed, the artistic director recreated the look of the historic textured fabric in a medley of silver, red, and turquoise mesh. The result was something familiar yet entirely fresh, a balance Blazy has honed since his appointment back in December 2024.
On the Paris Fashion Week runway, the Chanel model wore the colorful jacket over a wool-tweed long sleeve and a knee-length lurex-tweed skirt embellished with hand-embroidered braids. Over in Los Angeles, however, Bieber wore hers as a shirt and buttoned it only at the bra line, revealing a bit of skin between the textured trims.
The outerwear’s drop-shoulders, slouchy sleeves (and slouchy pockets), and boxy silhouette gave it a relaxed feel, which the star mirrored in her jeans below. The bottoms, a low-rise pair of light-wash denim, reached her ankles with a straight-leg fit. There, they were met by timeless black leather pumps.
Bieber, who wore the top to the launch of WYouth alongside Adults’s Owen Thiele and Romy Mars, was not the first familiar face to wear the coveted piece. Last May, Margot Robbie attended the Saint Laurent Met Gala after party in the same sparkling style, layering it over a white T-shirt and jeans of her own. Several months later, fellow actor Olivia Wilde attended the Chanel Spring/Summer 2027 show in both the jacket and its coordinating skirt.
