I Tried the Viral LED Face Mask That Promises Plumper, Glowing Skin—And the Results Blew Me Away (Plus, It’s Half Off Right Now)

Ever caught yourself scrolling through TikTok, spotting those futuristic glowing LED masks and wondering, “Can a few minutes of light really turn back the clock on my skin?” Well, I was skeptical too—until I tried the iRestore LED Face Mask. This bad boy doesn’t play around, delivering a triple threat of red, blue, and infrared light therapy designed to zap acne, smooth fine lines, and pump up collagen like a champ. The catch? These powerful tech toys usually come with a price tag that could make you pause. But here’s the kicker: my favorite, which normally runs about $800, is now slashed by half on Amazon. If you’re after glowing, firmer skin without carving out hours from your day, this deal might just be your game-changer. Ready to shine a light on your skincare routine? LEARN MORE

  • One of my favorite LED face masks is currently 50% off on Amazon.
  • The iRestore mask features three types of light therapy: red, blue, and infrared.
  • LED light therapy helps smooth fine lines, targets dark spots and acne, and stimulates collagen growth.

You’ve probably seen LED face masks come across your TikTok feed or on a spa menu at your dermatologist’s office. Women are strapping glowing red light therapy masks around their heads for a few minutes a day, and over time their skin is plumper, more radiant, and fine lines are diminished. Sounds too good to be true?

The truth is, these devices really do work when used at the correct research-backed wavelengths and at least several times a week, but they come at a cost. Some of our beauty editor’s favorites are nearly $500. If you’ve been thinking of investing in a red light therapy face mask, one of my personal favorites—the iRestore LED Face Mask—is currently 50 percent off at Amazon.

What I Like

Multiple Wavelengths

Typically retailing for $800, the iRestore features three kinds of light therapy: red light, blue light, and infrared light. Red light helps stimulate collagen production for plumper, less wrinkled skin over time. While blue light is commonly used to target acne, dermatologist Marisa Garshick, MD previously told Women’s Health.

Low Time Commitment

I’ve been testing the iRestore mask for three months, and I can already see major payoffs. Each session is 10 minutes (enough time for me to make my morning matcha), and you can choose from the three light types depending on what you want to target. I typically go for red light, but when I’m seeing my hormonal acne flair up, I opt for blue light to stop the pimple in its tracks.

Consistency is key with any light therapy device: the more often I use this mask, the better my skin looks. That said, as long as I get in three 10-minute treatments per week, I continue to see improved radiance and plumpness. Plus, hyperpigmentation and fine lines are less noticeable after a few months.

Easy to Use and Comfy to Wear

I love that this mask is hands-free and comfortable to wear. The two adjustable velcro straps fit snuggly around my head while the battery-operated controller clips to my clothing, so I can multitask. The only downside I’ve noticed during testing is that the silicone padding around the eyes can sometimes leave an impression in my forehead for a few minutes. It looks similar to the little dent I get from the inseam of my jeans or the pillow marks when I flip to my side.

TL;DR: Is The iRestore Face Mask Worth It?

It’s important to note that the iRestore mask has 360 LED lights, while more affordable options typically have less (around 200). The number of lights is worth noting, as a higher concentration of LED bulbs means your entire face is covered for a stronger, even treatment, dermatologist Azadeh Shirazi, MD told Women’s Health. While $399 is still a big investment, you’re getting a higher concentration of LEDs at a lower price point.

We don’t know how long this deal will last, so score the iRestore mask on Amazon ASAP.
