Tomorrow, the Barack Obama Presidential Center will open to the public in its home within the Jackson Park neighborhood of Chicago. The 19.3-acre campus was purposefully built on the south side of the city, where Barack and Michelle first connected, and its grounds will include not only a museum and presidential library, but also parks, a forum, an NBA regulation-size basketball court, a playground, a fruit and vegetable garden, and more.

Today, to commemorate the opening of the campus, a ceremony was held at the John Lewis Plaza, where the former president was supported by the three most fashionable ladies in his life: Michelle, and their two daughters, Malia, 27, and Sasha, 25.

Michelle—who certainly left her fashion mark as a first lady—went with American designer Thom Brown for the occasion. She wore a navy-and-white squiggle-pinstripe skirt suit with raw hems and gold hardware that matched her jewelry from Rainbow K and Yvonne Léon. She also left her blazer hanging open to reveal a white top underneath, with pumps to match.

Her eldest daughter, Malia, also went for a suited look, stepping out in a gray, single-breasted blazer with curved sleeves and a pinched waist. She styled the oversize jacket sans a shirt, but she layered it over a teeny slate-colored miniskirt, while adding some matching square-toe pumps to round things out.

Malia went for a gray blazer and a darker miniskirt.

Finally, Sasha made her own statement in a white, terrycloth-esque top and matching midi skirt. Her draping top featured an asymmetrical neckline that curved off one of her shoulders, and it was cinched with a wide, Western-inspired belt. To complement this accessory, she wore brown leather Miu Miu slingbacks with silver studs.

It’s rare to see the three Obama women together at a public event, and Malia and Sasha have particularly stayed out of the spotlight since their father’s political tenure ended back in 2017.

Whenever they do step out, though, this family always makes a memorable appearance.
