Joe Biden’s Son Unveils Controversial LAPTOP Coin with Secret Airdrop Targeting Trump Supporters—What It Means for Investors
Hunter Biden stepping into the meme coin arena feels like the plot twist no one saw coming—yet here we are, staring at a token named LAPTOP, set to drop on Coinbase’s Base this September 9. Now, isn’t it wild how one piece of family lore can inspire a whole crypto project? The name alone—the very symbol of some of the most heated controversies swirling around the Biden clan—is bound to stir curiosity, if not a dash of irony. With a total supply hitting a billion tokens and a well-crafted distribution plan that includes supporters, those who took a financial hit on TRUMP, and even a journalist’s mailing list, it all sounds like a savvy mix of marketing and maybe a little payback wrapped in digital currency. I can’t help but wonder: Could this be the ultimate pivot from scandal to strategy, or is it just another headline waiting to happen? Either way, it’s a bold move that’s got everyone talking—and watching. LEARN MORE

Former President Joe Biden’s son Hunter Biden is set to launch a meme coin on Coinbase’s Base on Sept. 9 dubbed LAPTOP, The Wall Street Journal reported Monday.
The token tied to one of the most recognizable controversies surrounding his family will have a total supply of one billion, with founders including Biden holding 30% under a vesting schedule.
Twenty percent will be distributed across wallets belonging to people who lost money on TRUMP, Biden’s Substack subscribers and a mailing list curated by journalist Andrew Callaghan. Another portion will support charity, liquidity and the foundation overseeing the project.
This is a developing story.
