Kaia Gerber’s Dinner-Date Look Is Low-Key But Here’s Why It’s About to Become the Ultimate Style Hack You’ve Been Sleeping On
Ever noticed how the simplest dinner date can become a masterclass in effortless style? Kaia Gerber, stepping away from the neon chaos of her role in The Shards, shows us exactly how to dial down the drama without losing an inch of charm. With Lewis Pullman by her side, the two prove that timeless doesn’t have to mean boring—the subtle pop of a cobalt Chanel bag or a well-chosen trench coat can speak volumes. But here’s a little nugget that struck me: can true style be as much about comfort and authenticity as it is about the outfit? Kaia suggests it’s all about being unapologetically you—no code switching between life’s different stages. Trust me, in an age of constant change, that might just be the healthiest fashion statement we can make. LEARN MORE
Kaia Gerber has her dinner-date style down. The model-turned-actor, who recently starred in the 1980s-based serial-killer drama The Shards, shed her character’s neon colors and voluminous hair for a low-key night out with her boyfriend, Lewis Pullman.
The two kept things classic and timeless for the outing. Gerber, who has long been known to love a little black dress and her Repetto ballerinas, layered a long trench coat over a sleeveless midi. Her go-to ballet flats, which she designed in collaboration with the label, offered a soft suede feel and a slight subtle lift. She draped a chocolate-brown sweater over her shoulders, added some sunglasses, and finished things off with a pop of color, thanks to her cobalt-blue Chanel shoulder bag.
Next to her, Pullman matched his girlfriend’s blues with his jacket and T-shirt. He styled them both with white jeans and a baseball cap, and grabbed her hand as they made their way to the Los Angeles restaurant.
Gerber, who has previously dated Jacob Elordi and Austin Butler, has been romantically linked to Pullman since January 2025. While she has kept her relationship fairly private, she recently offered a rare glimpse into her inner world, telling Vogue her partnership with the Marvel actor has been the “healthiest” of her life.
“I think the ultimate goal is that your relationship doesn’t change you, that you’re not code switching between relationship, friendship, professional life. I would love to always feel like me, and in this relationship I’m having the pleasure of doing that,” she said.
