Pi Crypto Hits a Wall at $0.11—Is the Protocol v26 Upgrade the Game-Changer Investors Have Been Waiting For?

Pi Network’s coin shot up to $0.11 on August 11—a date that wasn’t just another Monday on the calendar, but the drop-dead deadline for Mainnet nodes to embrace Protocol v26. Sounds straightforward, right? Well, turns out, the moment was fleeting. Despite a burst in market energy, PI slipped back down, settling near $0.08771. Makes you wonder—are we witnessing a heartbeat in the network’s evolution or just a false spark? The Pi Core Team set firm stakes: upgrade or get cut off. Yet, here we are, past the deadline, still hanging in limbo without confirmation if the transition reached the finish line. The fresh upgrade packs serious infrastructure muscle—reinforcing contracts, threading through state safety, and paving the runway for Pi Network’s next evolutionary chapter: v27. But despite these tech strides, PI’s supply remains untouched and demand… well, it’s waiting in the wings, keeping the immediate buzz squarely on backend upgrades rather than price fireworks. So, with the clock ticking and the charts whispering clues, the big question remains: Can PI climb back to $0.10, or is this just a pump before the plunge? Curious? Dive deeper and stay ahead of this rollercoaster ride. LEARN MORE

Pi Network’s coin climbed towards $0.11 on August 11, the deadline for Mainnet nodes to adopt Protocol v26.

The move did not last, as PI later returned to $0.08771, despite the increase in market activity.

Pi Network advances Protocol v26 transition

The Pi Core Team gave node operators until August 11 to install the new upgrade, with those still running on the old one at risk of being disconnected from the network.

That deadline has now passed, but the team is yet to announce whether the network-wide transition is complete.

The new upgrade introduces several infrastructure changes, including safety improvements covering contracts, state, and interoperability. It also prepares Pi Network for v27, which is the final upgrade that the project has currently announced.

Despite all these changes, PI’s supply has not been impacted, and a new demand has not been created, leaving the upgrade’s immediate relevance focused on network infrastructure.

Can PI Crypto value recover to $0.10?

PI reached $0.11 before sellers forced it back below $0.09, and at $0.08771, it was again trading inside the area that has seen a rise in activity recently.

Volume Range Visible Profile [VRVP] data places that activity between approximately $0.080 and $0.100, giving buyers a clear task of reclaiming the upper end of the range and hold it.

But for now, $0.080–$0.082 provides nearby support, with resistance at around $0.090 and extending towards $0.100.

Buying pressure has improved, with PI’s Money Flow Index [MFI] at 63.24. Trading volume also increased, but it did not match the levels recorded during July’s sell-off.

A close above $0.10 would bring $0.11 back into view, but beyond that, sellers may return around $0.127, where the price has struggled to break. But the downside starts at $0.080, and if that support gives way, PI could revisit the July base around $0.069–$0.070.

Final Summary

  • Pi Network’s Protocol v26 deadline has passed, but the Core Team has not confirmed completion of the network-wide transition.
  • PI returned to $0.08771 after touching $0.11. The next recovery depends on reclaiming $0.10 while holding support above $0.080.
