Ballet-core is alive and well over in Paris, thanks to the one and only Rosalía. The singer (and dancer) has been known to take the style seriously in her everyday style and on-stage wardrobe alike, wearing grungy drop-waist tulle tutus on the streets of New York City and custom feathery Dior leotards on the Lux Tour. Now, she’s brought her signature to Paris, stepping out in the fashion capital wearing a baby-pink minidress with matching ballerina heels.
On a walk with her girlfriend, Loli Bahia, Rosalía was photographed wearing a romantic silk-chiffon romper, designed with a sleeveless, high-neck shape. A basque waist added a vintage spirit to the one-piece, while subtle polka-dot detailing gave it a playful touch. The whole piece was finished with a little sheer miniskirt, not unlike the flowy dance skirts worn over leotards.
To create a monochrome look, the artist wore her blush dress with a pair of pink ballerinas. The footwear in question, Repetto’s Camille, treated the traditional ballet flat to a bit of extra height—combining the softness, shape, and details of the classic silhouette (rounded toe, delicate bow) with the wearable, stacked 3 cm heel of a low pump.
In general, the heeled ballerina has enjoyed a slow but steady rise in recent years, with stars such as Kendall Jenner, Kaia Gerber, Zoë Kravitz, and Olivia Rodrigo leading the climb.
Next to Rosalía, Bahia contrasted the ballerina pinks with a white T-shirt, striped sweater, and blue jeans, keeping things casual for the outing.
