The Canadian pop star fronts adidas’ first Originals Sport collection, where signature Three Stripes style meets performance built for training.
Tate McRae knows how to make movement look like a main-stage event.
Now, adidas is putting that energy at the centre of Originals Sport, a new women’s training collection created for those who want their gym wardrobe to have as much personality as everything they wear outside of it.

Revealed in New York City on July 22, the collection brings the recognizable visual language of adidas Originals into training with the brand’s first Originals Sport collection.
Inspired by the iconic Superstar tracksuit, it reworks Trefoil branding, feminine cut lines, expressive proportions and an unexpected colour palette through a modern performance lens.
The result sits exactly where McRae does: somewhere between rehearsal, street style and showtime.

She fronts the global campaign alongside Argentinian artist Emilia Mernes and professional volleyball player Harper Murray—three women whose worlds naturally move between culture, creativity and sport.
And that intersection is the entire point.
“For years, there was an expectation that serious training came with a certain uniform,” says Lisann Costello, VP Product Design Partnerships & Sports Marketing at adidas.

Originals Sport pushes back against that idea, offering pieces designed to handle a real workout without stripping away the individuality that makes someone’s style their own.
The collection includes low- and medium-support bras featuring AdiSOFT and LYCRA® ADAPTIV, alongside full-length and 7/8 leggings designed for flexible movement.
CLIMACOOL technology appears in the Superstar Bra Tee and padded Originals Sport Tank, while lightweight coverups and midlayers make it easy to carry the collection beyond the gym.

There is also a statement onesie built for creative layering—because subtle was clearly never the assignment.
What makes the collection work is that Adidas is not treating style as something added after the technical details are finished. It is built into the concept from the beginning.
The pieces are designed to breathe, stretch and support movement, but they do not ask women to leave their personal style in the locker room.

Because at a certain point, it is not only about how you train. It is about how you show up.
The adidas Originals Sport collection is available now at adidas.ca and adidas retail stores, with pieces priced from $65 to $130 CAD.
