Taylor Swift is on her Emmy campaign trail! Last week, the artist attended a private event to discuss the making of The Eras Tour: The Final Show, speaking with voters about her and director Glenn Weiss’s vision to capture the record-breaking tour. And in a singular photo from the no-phones event, she was seen next to Weiss and sound designer John Ross, wearing a black floral dress with her freshly-chopped hair.
The dress, courtesy of Veronica Beard, joined Swift’s long list of floral numbers. It was designed with a micro-pleated sweetheart bust and a wide empire waist, with a long slip skirt that floated down to her calves. The silk-blend piece was covered in an all-over print in shades of cream, blue, and green, and was finished with a sweet little bow for an extra delicate touch.
Swift paired the midi with heeled white sandals and matching sunglasses, which gave 1989 fans some serious déjà vu. She accessorized with a string of pearls and little diamond earrings.
“One of the things that I was so impressed by, and the needle Glenn threaded so effortlessly, is that the Eras Tour was such a phenomenon because of so many factors, but one that I know that is really important is that it was a source of great escapism for the people who were there,” she reportedly said. “Glenn and I had conversations about ‘How do we preserve this experience?’ Because if you lose the feeling of relaxation and freedom for the fans there, then you’ve lost a huge element of what makes this concert experience so special.”
Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour: The Final Show received five Emmy nominations: Outstanding Variety Special (Pre-Recorded), Outstanding Directing for a Variety Special, Outstanding Picture Editing for Variety Programming, Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Variety Series or Special, and Outstanding Technical Direction and Camerawork for a Special.
