Each year, the majority of the year’s most exciting, creative releases are typically revealed at the Watches & Wonders convention. This time around, one of our highlights came from German luxury watchmaker A. Lange & Söhne, with a new spin on the brand’s Lange model, which has been one of its signature lines since 1994.
Taking the unique off-center dial configuration of the Lange 1 but giving it a complete visual and technical overhaul, this new piece has three twists. It introduces a tourbillon with stop seconds, a perpetual calendar, and a transparent dial that allows light to pass through and charge the dial’s luminescent elements.
A piece that’s unbelievably complex from a technological standpoint while still balancing distinct and dressy design, the Lange 1 Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar is a real feat of modern luxury horology.
