Halloween may be over, but Bazaar editors still can’t stop talking about some of the most viral beauty moments from the past weekend. Case in point? The ethereal, angelic look we’re calling “Stardust Eyes,” seen recently on supermodel Hailey Bieber and singer-songwriter and Chanel Coco Mademoiselle Crush Absolu ambassador Gracie Abrams during her Saturday Night Live performance.
Unlike other popular beauty looks worn on the 31st, the “Stardust Eyes” trend is as wearable as it is versatile, anchored by glowing skin, flushed cherub cheeks, glossy lips, and a wash of sheer silvery color across the lids and around the tear ducts. Bieber’s take on the trend paired the stunning eye look with a diffused nude lip and bright pink blush. Abrams’s look, created by celebrity makeup artist Emily Cheng for Chanel Beauty, leaned into an effortless, no-makeup-makeup approach.
Abrams wore two Halloween-inspired outfits for each SNL performance, starting with the song “Hit the Wall,” dressed in an angel costume inspired by a similar look worn by actress Claire Danes in the 1996 film Romeo + Juliet.
After prepping the star’s skin with Chanel’s Sublimage La Crème Texture Fine moisturizer and Sublimage La Crème Yeux eye cream to boost her glow, Cheng refined Abrams’s skin using a combination of the brand’s Les Beiges Healthy Glow Foundation and Serum Concealer in B20, Baume Essentiel Multi-Use Glow Stick in the shade Sculpting, along with layers of its Joues Contraste Powder Blush in shades 80 Jersey and 602 Rose Ruban. To capture the “Stardust Eye,” the artist reached for Chanel’s Stylo Yeux eyeliner and Les Beiges Healthy Glow Natural Eyeshadow Palette in Cool, then topped Abrams’s lid with the pearlescent Ombre Essentielle powder in 220 Blanc Perle for an otherworldly finish. Cheng kept the singer’s lips glowy and sparkly to match the rest of her beauty look, lining them with Le Crayon Lèvres in 162 Nude Brun before adding Chanel’s Rouge Coco Hydra Gloss in shade 432 Cristal.
With peak holiday and party looks on the horizon, we expect more inspiration for elevated, shimmery beauty looks to populate our For You Pages in the coming weeks.
