1. Tell us a little bit about yourself (background, where you’re from, etc.).
I’m Steven Morse, a 35-year-old from Long Island, NY. I’ve always been passionate about sports and helping young athletes achieve their dreams of playing at the collegiate level.

2. Tell us a little bit about your business, what it does, and how it started.
Recruit U is a college athletic recruiting service that helps high school athletes navigate the complex recruiting process. I started it 5 years ago after seeing how many talented athletes were overlooked simply because they didn’t know how to market themselves to college coaches.

3. What inspired you to start your own business?
I was inspired by my own experiences and the desire to level the playing field for student-athletes. Every athlete deserves a fair shot at playing in college, and I wanted to build a service that gives them the guidance and exposure they need.

4. What has been your biggest challenge as a business owner, and how did you overcome it?
My biggest challenge has been building trust and credibility in a competitive industry. I overcame it by focusing on results, building genuine relationships with families, and letting my athletes’ success stories speak for themselves.

5. What are you most proud of in your business journey so far?
I’m most proud of the athletes I’ve helped get recruited to play college sports. Seeing a student-athlete sign with their dream school and knowing I played a part in that journey is incredibly rewarding.

6. What advice would you give to someone thinking about starting their own business?
Start with a genuine passion for what you do, and focus on serving your clients exceptionally well. The results will follow. Don’t be afraid to start small and grow organically.

My goal is to expand Recruit U’s reach and help even more student-athletes across the country find their perfect college fit. I want to continue building a trusted brand in the recruiting space.
