When it comes to activewear, I’m downright picky—especially with high-impact gear like leggings and sports bras that need to perform under pressure. After grinding through countless brands—lululemon, Alo, Athleta, plus indie labels like Set Active and Left on Friday—I’ve developed a radar for real quality. So, when Beyond Yoga announced their first line designed specifically for high-performance workouts, my curiosity kicked into overdrive. Could their new Glowzone fabric really keep up with the sweat, stretches, and sprints? Spoiler alert: It’s a game-changer. WHEN IT COMES to testing new activewear, I’m the pickiest about my high-impact pieces like leggings and sports bras. I’ve worn all the usual suspects—lululemon, Alo, Athleta—as well as indie brands like Set Active, 437, Left on Friday, and Splits59. As a WH contributing editor, I’m always in search of the perfect set that can keep up with my sweat sessions. So, when Beyond Yoga gave me a heads-up that it would be launching its first dedicated high-performance line, I knew I had to try it for myself.
Glowzone is a new proprietary fabric designed to support high-intensity movement—from summer runs to heated studio workouts and strength training.

The brand launched six styles in the new fabrication, including the High Waisted Midi Legging, Biker Short, Medium Impact Bra, Medium Impact Cropped Tank, Strappy Cropped Tank, and Hybrid Straight Leg Pant (which features Glowzone on the waistband and the brand’s Litewick fabric on the leg). The collection is currently available in up to five colorways: Pitch Black, Legacy Pine, Cocoa Plum, Deep Ocean, and Electric Fuchsia.
How I Tested the Glowzone Collection
I was lucky enough to get my hands on a few pieces ahead of the collection’s launch last week. Beyond Yoga sent me samples of the Glowzone High-Waisted Midi Legging and the Glowzone Medium-Impact Bra (both in the Legacy Pine colorway) to put to the test. Over the last two weeks, I’ve tried several types of movement in the set, including running, reformer and Cadillac Pilates, low-impact sculpt, and HIIT.
Glowzone is engineered for high-sweat performance, so I wanted to make sure I really sweat in the pieces. I also wanted to test how the fabric held up against stretching, squatting (no see-through leggings here), and machine washing.
How does Glowzone compare to Spacedye?
One of Beyond Yoga’s most-loved styles is its Spacedye Caught In The Midi High Waisted Legging, which I reviewed last year. The brand’s signature Spacedye fabric has a buttery-soft, peach-fuzz-like texture and is made from a blend of polyester and elastane. During my testing, the Spacedye legging didn’t handle sweat well during high-intensity workouts, so I prefer it for lounging.
Glowzone is made with recycled nylon and elastane, giving it a smooth, weightless feel compared to Spacedye. It’s slightly thinner than Spacedye, which makes Glowzone feel sleeker and more breathable against the skin. Also, the four-way stretch and moisture-wicking technology of the new fabric offer more freedom of movement, especially during heated classes or summer workouts. On the other hand, the Spacedye leggings are warmer, which is great for winter.
Same signature softness, updated for sweat.
Do not fret—the Glowzone leggings and bras still have that same signature softness that Beyond Yoga is known for. It doesn’t take much for my body to start sweating, so I don’t appreciate shiny fabric in my activewear, which often makes me feel warmer. I can vouch that this material feels buttery soft while still achieving the sleek, sweat-wicking performance that I need.
Glowzone is also designed to be more compressive than Spacedye, and I felt supported throughout testing (both the leggings and bra stayed in place while jogging and jump squatting). Because of the medium compression, Glowzone styles may run small, but I would still suggest taking your normal size in the brand if you want that held-in feel.
The new styles are super flattering.
As soon as I slipped into the Glowzone Midi Legging, I rejoiced at the seamless front. No front rise or side seams mean no awkward wedgies, and no wedgies mean I can actually focus on my mind-to-muscle connection. The back seams feature a flattering curve that accentuates your silhouette, while the lined high-rise waistband adds compressive support.
Both the Medium Impact Bra and Cropped Tank feature a bonded racerback with a keyhole detail and sculpting front seam that curves underneath the bust. I love that the bra has a knife-cut edge and a wide band and straps that don’t dig in.
Final Verdict: Unmatched Support and Comfort
Priced at $108 for the leggings and $78 for the bra, Beyond Yoga’s Glowzone collection is slightly more expensive than its other styles. However, I would gladly pay full price for these new pieces. After several weeks of testing, I found that Glowzone perfectly balances breathability, comfort, and compression.
Whether you’re going for a jog, heading to hot yoga, or trying a new spin class, the Midi Legging and Medium Impact Bra offer non-restrictive support that feels good on the skin. While you may not want to lounge in these pieces all day, I felt that their level of compression gave me peace of mind without limiting my movement. If you’re looking for reliable activewear that keeps up with high-intensity workouts, consider adding Glowzone to your closet.
