Zoë Kravitz Stuns in $200K Diamonds and Daring Shorts—Here’s Why This Look Is Breaking All the Fashion Rules
New York City summers can be brutal—so, how does one stay cool without sacrificing style? Well, Zoë Kravitz might just have cracked the code by channeling a bit of Carrie Bradshaw’s iconic flair—only, she swapped those sky-high heels for something a tad more grounded. Imagine blending classic Sex and the City chic with street-ready ease: a bold black tee, striking cobalt Adidas shorts (those stripes scream timeless), and accessories worth more than your rent. And seriously, who else rocks a £140,000 diamond necklace like it’s casual streetwear? Though, I gotta wonder—could Carrie have pulled off those gray slides or was she destined to stick to stilettos to chase Aidan’s dog? Kravitz’s look isn’t just a nod to nostalgia—it’s a masterclass in adapting fashion to reality without missing a beat. Ready to dive into all the deets? LEARN MORE
When it comes to beating the New York City heat, there’s no more fashionable way to get it done than by following in Carrie Bradshaw’s (usually heeled) footsteps. Zoë Kravitz happened to do just that—sans the stilettos.
On Friday, the actor was photographed out and about in New York City, where she strutted down the sidewalk in a boxy black T-shirt and a pair of cobalt blue Adidas shorts with the brand’s iconic black stripes running down the side. To accessorize, Kravitz added black wraparound sunglasses from Thistle, a slouchy black leather shoulder bag from the Row, and a diamond button-back necklace from Jessica McCormack, which retails for £140,000 (or about $189k).
In an on-the-nose nod to Carrie, Kravitz capped off the look with a red Sex and the City cap. However, in my professional opinion, I think Carrie would probably do without Kravitz’s gray slides (though if she wore slides instead of heels, maybe she would’ve caught Aidan’s dog sooner…).
This isn’t the only time that Kravitz has worn a look that seems like it could’ve been pulled straight from Patricia Field’s Sex and the City wardrobe department. The day prior, Kravitz rocked another short shorts fit, wearing black bottoms with a white tee from Barneys—one of Carrie’s favorite places to shop. The Batman star finished off her look with strappy black satin mules with a kitten heel from the Row, a pair of diamond drop earrings, a leopard-print tote bag by Saint Laurent, and a scrunchy white yoga headband.
