Cartier Announces Zoe Saldaña as Its Latest Ambassador
Welcome to the Cartier family, Zoe Saldaña!
This week, the luxury jewelry house announced that Saldaña had been crowned a global ambassador, which came as no big surprise, given that the Oscar winner has been sporting the brand on red carpets for years.
Saldaña celebrated the moment on Instagram, writing: “Honored to be chosen as an ambassador and embark on the next chapter of this beautiful relationship ❣️.”
The title was commemorated with a new photoshoot, which saw Saldaña modeling pieces from the maison’s Panthère de Cartier collection, including necklaces, rings, watches, and bracelets. “In all her forms, the Maison’s Panther is magnetic, from the latest tête à tête creations to the simple suggestion of her distinctive spots,” the brand wrote. “This bold creativity is shared with the Maison’s latest ambassador, Zoe Saldaña.”

This week, the Italian fashion house unveiled its Fall/Winter 2025 campaign for the women’s and men’s collections, which was led by Kendall Jenner along with a crew of models, all photographed by Oliver Hadlee Pearch.
The campaign, titled “Prada Motion Pictures,” captures images of free movement, bringing the designs of Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons to life, through kinetic photography and videography courtesy of Frank Lebon.
“Motion here is an engine for progress – advancing ideas, furthering knowledge in a synergic effort,” a press release states. “Grouped together, moving as one, amongst these figures there is the notion of collective encounter, a shared reality, a lived experience. Together, these individuals stand stronger than alone.”
Willy Chavarria Becomes Part of the ACLU’s Artist Ambassador Program
Willy Chavarria has just been named part of the American Civil Liberties Union’s (ACLU) Artist Ambassador Program as an advocate for immigrants’ rights and LGBTQ rights—two causes that have been a central part of Chavarria’s craft since he launched his eponymous brand in 2015.
In a statement, Chavarria said: “The ACLU uses every tool they’ve got to fight for the rights of immigrants and the LGBTQ community, and I’m honored to be able to support them in that work. I’m Mexican-American and I grew up in a farming community in California powered by immigrants; all of us exposed to the harsh realities of racial and economic injustice. My work as an artist and designer has been a dialogue between identity and art. My own Chicano culture, queer culture, and my family’s immigrant roots are intertwined in the fashion that my team and I create, and in our activism. I believe in using our creative gifts to defend the rights of humanity and all impacted communities not given the same rights as others for who they are or because of where they’re from. I’m so grateful to join the ACLU in the fight for our rights.”
Gucci Unveils New Portrait Series Captured by Catherine Opie
To celebrate its Fall/Winter 2025 collection, Gucci unveiled “The Gucci Portrait Series,” a new campaign captured by legendary photographer Catherine Opie that incorporates 42 individuals who embody the modern spirit of Gucci.
A press release from the brand states: “Rooted in intimate and human-centered portraiture, Opie’s lens reveals the authentic relationship between person and garment. In moments both composed and spontaneous, the way a jacket folds, a bag is held, or a scarf moves with the body’s rhythm becomes a subtle language of identity. Here, clothing is more than fabric and form; it is a frame within which individuality emerges, not constructed through performance, but revealed through posture, ease, and attitude.”

Jonathan Anderson and Luca Guadagnino Are Teaming Up Once Again
Jonathan Anderson and Luca Guadagnino are a fashion match made in heaven.
In 2024, Anderson teamed up with the famous director twice, for the films Challengers and Queer. At the time, Anderson was still creative director of Loewe, but he recently made his transition to the same role at Dior. Despite these changes, it’s clear that Anderson’s partnership with Guadagnino is not slowing down any time soon.
Earlier this week, Anderson announced that he will be designing the costumes for Guadagnino’s upcoming project, Artificial. “Very excited to be working with the amazing Luca Guadagnino,” Anderson wrote on his Instagram Story.
According to outlets like Deadline, the film is being described as “a comedic drama set in the world of artificial intelligence.” As for how that collaboration will come to life through costuming? We’ll have to wait to find out.
Schiaparelli Will Support New Man Ray Exhibition at the Met
Schiaparelli has just been announced as a supporter of the new “Man Ray: When Objects Dream” exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
Running from September 14 through February 1, 2026, the collection will comprise over 150 works of photography, sculpture, film, and more that captures the life of the singular Dada and Surrealist visual artist.
Throughout his life, Man Ray had a close relationship with Schiaparelli founder Elsa Schiaparelli, after the two were introduced by mutual friend Gabrielle Buffet-Picabia.
In a new statement, current creative director Daniel Roseberry said: “I’ve always had a special feeling for Man Ray—like me, he was an American (born in Pennsylvania in 1890), and a Virgo. He was also, more significantly, an outsider in Paris, a voyeur of a scene who later became synonymous with it. And like Elsa Schiaparelli, he blurred the lines between fashion and art: Before fashion became a commercial enterprise, it was an artistic one, and that’s in no small part thanks to them, and how easily they moved between genres and creative identities.”
