We may still have a few weeks left of summer, but that’s not going to stop Olivia Rodrigo from getting in the Halloween spirit. Let her introduce you to the concept of spooky chic.

Earlier this week, the Grammy Museum opened up a new exhibit titled “Olivia Rodrigo: the cure unraveled,” which showcases a few of the props, costumes, and works of art that were used for Rodrigo’s music video for “the cure,” displayed alongside behind-the-scene photography, storyboards, and interactive experiences. It precedes an expanded exhibit that will dive into Rodrigo’s larger creative world, set to arrive this fall.

To celebrate the opening of the exhibit, Rodrigo attended a special event on Tuesday, where she took part in a panel and held a mini concert, performing songs from her third studio album, you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love. For the day, she slipped on a look that subtly nodded to “the cure” visuals, while also celebrating the forthcoming spooky season.

For context, “the cure” music video—directed by Cat Solen and Jaime Gerin—acts as a representation of Rodrigo spiraling in her relationship, and it takes place in a hospital, where the pop singer’s blood is seen spooling out of her veins like thread.

As a nod to that setting, Rodrigo and her stylists, Chloe and Chenelle Delgadillo, chose a babydoll dress from the Undercover Fall/Winter 2013 ready-to-wear collection. The design was printed with a graphic rendering of skeletal ribs on the front, giving the illusion that Rodrigo is standing behind a vintage X-ray machine (something that actually happens in the video).

She wore an archival babydoll dress from Undercover.

The peach-colored minidress featured a black Peter Pan collar, inky elastic sleeves, and felt buttons running up the back, and Rodrigo paired it with black tights and matching Mary Jane pumps to round things out. Of course, the orange-and-black color scheme couldn’t help but bring to mind the Halloween season too, which may have been a purposeful choice.

Over the past few years, the babydoll dress has become a staple of Rodrigo’s wardrobe, and she even wears one on the cover of her third studio album. However, while some some have criticized her championing of the design, claiming that it infantilizes her, the pop star seems to be paying homage to female rockers of the past who redefined the meaning of the dress, like Kim Gordon and Courtney Love. And clearly, the look is still working for her.
