Kim Kardashian’s Dark New Sportmax Dress Is More Than Just Fashion—It’s a Game-Changer You’ve Got to See to Believe!
Kim Kardashian just gave the spooky season a serious style upgrade — and honestly, who else could pull off a witchy twist on a sleek black maxi dress quite like her? Showing up at ABC Studios for an October 15 gig on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, she rocked a sculptural piece from Sportmax’s 2027 collection that was equal parts classic Kardashian and delightfully unexpected, with a pointy peplum waist that added a playful bump to the hips rather than the usual cinched-in vibe. It’s got me wondering — can fashion be as sneaky and clever as a Halloween trick, or is it all treat? Beyond the glam, Kim opened up about her journey in legal studies and her childhood fascination with investigative work during the infamous O.J. Simpson trial when her dad was defending him. Talk about a past that’s as intriguing as her style choices! Ready to dive deeper? LEARN MORE.
Kim Kardashian is ready for the spooky season. Putting a witchy twist on her classic style, she arrived at Los Angeles’s ABC Studios for an October 15 appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, wearing a simple black maxi dress with an unconventional, pointy peplum waist.
The sculptural piece, pulled from Sportmax’s Spring/Summer 2027 collection, featured several markers of Kardashian’s signature style: a deep plunging neckline, a skintight fit, and an hourglass-accentuating silhouette. But unlike many of her wardrobe’s counterparts, which focus on cinching the waist, this dress was all about adding depth to the hips in a playful, funky fashion.
As for the rest of her look, Kardashian kept things pretty simple, leaving her long dark hair down, painting her nails a nude shade, and adding only strappy black heels for accessories.
During the sit-down, Kardashian updated Kimmel and the public about her legal studies (she’s passed the preliminary “baby bar” but not yet the final bar exam) and reminisced on her early-teenage days of “playing investigator.”
At 14 years old, she explained, O.J. Simpson came to stay at her family’s house during his 1995 double-murder trial. Her late father, Robert Kardashian, was serving as his defense lawyer, and the young future-law student got to see “everything from behind the scenes.”
“I just was so into it,” the Skims founder shared. “He had this Louis Vuitton luggage and brought it in the house and I’m seeing what’s going on the news, but I see it in real life at my house, so I’m like, ‘I’m gonna go play investigator, and I want to go through his luggage and see if I can find anything!’”
Shortly after, however, she saw on the news that the bag was going to be seized by investigators as evidence. “I’m like, ‘Oh my God, my fingerprints are all over it,’” she recalled. “And so, it made me realize that people could be involved that aren’t involved, and I need to help them.”
