Well, Goldenpeak just answered that question with a strategic move that’s sure to turn some heads. This isn’t just another acquisition; this is about staking a claim in the multidisciplinary built environment consultancy space by purchasing ORS, a firm that’s been steadily growing and evolving for over three decades. Global law firm Squire Patton Boggs has advised private equity firm Goldenpeak on its first investment in Ireland, the acquisition of multidisciplinary built environment consultancy ORS.
The Squire Patton Boggs team that advised Goldenpeak was led by corporate partners Ben Squires, George Kennedy, Matt Lappin and Andrew Slucky across the Dublin and London offices.
Financial services partner Chris Hastings led on debt finance matters.
The transaction is the second for Goldenpeak that Squire Patton Boggs has advised on in less than a month, following its investment in Ampere Analysis in May.
“It has been a pleasure to work with the Goldenpeak team on their second platform acquisition, this time utilising our international network to assist them on their first investment in Ireland,” commented Squires.
“Our team collaborated closely with Goldenpeak to ensure the deal was successfully delivered in a very compressed timescale.”
“This was a seamless, joint effort between our Dublin and London private equity teams,” said Kennedy.
Founded in 1991 as an engineering consultancy, ORS has expanded its services over the past 35 years through strong organic growth and multiple acquisitions.
The firm now provides specialist advisory, design and compliance services across the building life cycle, creating long-term value for clients and communities, including international project funding agencies, local authorities, government bodies and private sector organisations.

Goldenpeak’s strategic investment will provide substantial resources, enabling ORS to actively pursue value-enhancing mergers and acquisitions in Ireland, the UK and beyond.
The investment will also allow ORS to expand its service offering and strengthen its position as a leader in the market.
