The Media Awards 2026 illuminated Dublin’s historic Mansion House last night, bringing together the biggest names in Ireland’s media and marketing industry to celebrate excellence across the sector.

The evening’s top honour, the prestigious Grand Prix, was awarded to EssenceMediacom and RTÉ for their standout Lidl campaign, “In Dublin’s Fair City, Where Lidl is so Pretty.”

Among the other major winners on the night, PHD Media Ireland was named Media Agency of the Year, while Virgin Media Television secured the Sales Team of the Year title.

Core also enjoyed a successful evening, taking home the award for Agency Group of the Year.

dmg media claimed three awards during the ceremony.

The company’s collaboration between ExtraG and Science Week earned Bronze in the Best Use of Irish Language category.

Silver in the category went to Mindshare / WPP Invention and Brennans Bread, while Gold was awarded to Mediahuis IRL, Core Sponsorship, Starcom part of Core and An Post.

dmg media also collected Silver and Bronze awards in the Best Sales Initiative category for Retail Plus by dmg media – Joining the Retail Media Journey and Mum Marketing, respectively.

The Gold award in the category was presented to Bauer Media Outdoor and Adshel Live.

Two individual honours were also presented on the night.

Anna Forde received the 2026 Media Awards Rising Star award, while Mark Little was recognised as this year’s Media Trailblazer – The Trailblazer Award seeks to honour those who have reshaped the industry through innovation, impact, and enduring excellence.
