How Ifac’s Surprising 10% Hiring Surge in Just One Month Could Rewrite the Rules of Workforce Growth

Isn’t it wild how some companies just seem to sprint while others are stuck jogging in place? Take Ifac, for example — this pro services firm didn’t just grow a little; they turbocharged their workforce by over 10% in just a month, adding 67 fresh faces to a team that’s now over 600 strong. What’s behind this bold move? It’s a mix of unwavering confidence in Ireland’s indie businesses, savvy acquisitions, and a crystal-clear focus on the booming demand for top-notch accountancy, tax, and advisory services, especially from farming and family-run outfits. They’re not just hiring; they’re planting flags — rolling out new services, scaling regions, and giving their corporate advisory arm, Friel Stafford, a sleek upgrade right in Dublin. The big question: can other firms keep up with Ifac’s pace, or is this a masterclass in future-proofing business growth? Buckle up, because with hybrid work models and a firm commitment to local communities, Ifac is showing us all how resilience meets ambition in today’s turbulent economy. LEARN MORE.

Professional services firm Ifac has grown its workforce by more than 10% over the past month, adding 67 employees as it continues to invest in Ireland.

The new hires bring the company’s workforce to more than 600 people, and Ifac has also confirmed plans to create a further 200 jobs over the next three years.

The firm is planning to add new services lines, increase its regional footprint and undertake a targeted expansion of its Dublin-based corporate advisory specialist, Friel Stafford.

The recruitment drive comes as demand for accountancy, tax, advisory and financial services continues to grow among farming, agrifood, SME and family-owned business clients.

It also follows the firm’s acquisition of three accountancy practices in Cork, Cavan and Mullingar earlier this year, further strengthening its regional footprint.

Ifac now has 30 offices nationwide and is regarded as a top 10 professional services, according to the Finance Dublin annual survey,

“The addition of 67 new colleagues in June reflects both the continued growth of our business and our confidence in the future of Ireland’s indigenous business community,” said John Donoghue, CEO and managing partner at Ifac.

“While businesses across many sectors continue to navigate economic uncertainty, we are seeing strong demand from clients for trusted advice and support as they plan, invest, and grow.

“The resilience and ambition of Ireland’s owner-managed businesses continues to create opportunities. We are investing in our people, specialist capabilities, technology platform and office network to meet that demand.
