Throughout the NBA Finals, the New York Knicks’s celebrity row has seen regulars and newbies alike—but last night, the crowd got a rare royal visit. Sitting a few rows back from the court, Prince Harry made a discreet appearance in San Antonio, Texas, for Game Five between the Knicks and the Spurs.
For his solo outing—Duchess Meghan did not appear to join him at the history-making game—Harry kept his loyalties under wraps. Rather than sporting a piece of team merch, he went with a plain navy-blue polo shirt and SBFD (Santa Barbara Fire Department) baseball cap.
Elsewhere, Timothée Chalamet cheered on his home team in an oversize Knicks tee, layered over a black long sleeve and long denim shorts from ERL. He wore BAPE STA sneakers, made custom for the actor by A Bathing Ape in orange and blue.
Sydney Sweeney and Scooter Braun also made the trip over to Texas, as did longtime Knicks supporters Spike Lee and Ben Stiller.
Although Harry’s appearance was unexpected, it was not entirely surprising. A longtime champion of sports, the prince has been spotted at NFL games and Formula One races alike. As for basketball, this past February, he and Meghan both attended the 75th NBA All-Star Game at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California, and in 2023, the couple was seen at a Los Angeles Lakers game against the Memphis Grizzlies. He has also run his own international multi-sport event, the Invictus Games, since 2014—supporting serving military members and veterans who have been wounded or injured.
