Unlock the Secrets Behind Marvel’s Epic Wanda and Vision Finale: 8 Episodes of VisionQuest That Will Blow Your Mind!
Can you believe it’s been over five years since WandaVision rewired our Marvel-loving brains and kicked off the streaming saga that changed the MCU forever? Time’s weird like that—one minute you’re binging quarantine TV, the next you’re deep-diving into a show that’s given us everything from sitcom vibes to existential questions about identity (I’m still thinking about that Ship of Theseus moment!). Now, after Elizabeth Olsen’s mind-bending return in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Kathryn Hahn’s wickedly fun spin-off, the spotlight finally turns to Paul Bettany’s Vision in VisionQuest. This new eight-episode journey promises a wild ride inside Vision’s psyche and out into the world—family drama, AI alter egos, and some father-son bonding that’s anything but ordinary. Got your popcorn ready? Because this might just be the MCU’s most puzzling and heartfelt chapter yet. LEARN MORE
IT DOESN’T REALLY feel like it, but it’s somehow been five and a half years since WandaVision kicked off the Marvel Studios era on Disney+. Marvel’s first foray into episodic streaming-first television was a massive success, capturing the attention of the world at a time when the pandemic was still raging outside, and the future of the MCU, post-Avengers: Endgame, had endless possibilities ahead of it. WandaVision was a weekly topic of conversation among die-hard and casual fans alike, and eventually earned a staggering 23 Emmy nominations, including nominations for stars Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bettany, and Kathryn Hahn.
After Olsen’s appearance in 2022’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness continued her story onto the big screen, the Disney+ trilogy continued with the Kathryn Hahn-led series Agatha All Along in 2024. And now Bettany gets his bite at the apple with VisionQuest, a story that promises to bring a cliffhanger from WandaVision (Vision has been rebuilt/rebooted as White Vision, without any of his memories; remember the Ship of Theseus) to its conclusion.
This story unfolds over the course of eight episodes, taking place both inside Vision’s head—with characters like F.R.I.D.A.Y., J.A.R.V.I.S., E.D.I.T.H., and Ultron (played by a returning James Spader) representing different parts of his own psyche—and on his own adventure out in the world, where he runs into Tommy (Ruaridh Mollica), the somehow-now-real son of his and Wanda’s, who Wanda conjured into reality (remember the whole Billy situation in Agatha All Along).
In short? There’s a lot of family bonding going on here. Remember, Ultron is technically Vision’s father (and, sure, Tony Stark and Bruce Banner are a little bit too), and now Vision has his own fatherhood to deal with. Will Wanda (who we last saw crushed under a giant mountain in Multiverse of Madness) show up? Will Agatha show up? That much we can only speculate on. But the story comes to what we must presume is a conclusion here.
